Reading this book is like going to brunch with that one sexually liberated friend who has no problem talking about her yoni any and every where. You're equally terrified and in awe of them - wishing you can have this level of zero fucks. WELLLLLLLLL - after the initial shock of seeing the word *literally* everywhere, I feel empowered to be that friend. Pussy Prayers is about rekindling the connection to your pleasure center - the space through which you manifest worlds - regardless of the body parts you do or don't have. Also on their website you can join their waitlist for their Pleasure Prep School.
A short and sweet book that I chose to not sleep and read it completely in two days. I mean who doesn't want to be stuck in an elevator with a dime piece and to kill time drink champagne and eat cheese? And my favorite part is that she built a lil universe with 5 other books. Now I'm invested in everyone's business.
I'm so excited to read this book, in my cart now as I'm typing this out. With writers like Tayari Jones (An American Marriage) and Barbara Smith (Home Girls: A Black Feminist Anthology) contributing to this book, I'm SO ready to be apart of a space in which black women’s writing and knowledge and life experiences are lifted up because I love that help me understand the world and myself.
